Operational readiness is mandatory for the successful accomplishment of the Civil Air Patrol missions in the Northeast Region (NER). There is a significant amount of education and training required for the missions that the NER supports. There are always changes to the way the NER accomplishes those missions.  

Annually, the NER Operations Department holds a Strategic Operations (STRATOPS) training workshop.  STRATOPS is designed to allow wing members in the command, operations, safety, emergency services, and communications disciplines to learn about the new techniques and procedures that are moving forward in the NER.

The information you receive and the efforts you make to participate in this training will play a key role in keeping the NER on the leading edge of operational innovation as the region continues to expand its forward presence among our wings and engages in more joint multi-wing training exercises and communications missions.
